Twisting and turning and shaking the tubes allows the children the explore what's inside.

What You Need:

Clear plastic tubing (3/4 inch), water (colored), vegetable oil, beads, popcorn, macaroni, duct tape, and any other small items that would be interesting in the tubing. Perhaps sparkles... tiny beads....

What To Do:

Cut tubing into about 12" lengths, seal one end. Fill each tube with something different and then seal off the other end as well. Do not overfil tube, leave about 2" from the end. Children can shake twist and turn the tubes watching the objects move and mix.
You could also use small tubing to make necklaces and bracelets using the same technique... add sparkles, water and vegetable oil.
