Bring birds into your yard with this tastey treat they are sure to love. You and your kids will have fun making it, too!
A large, open pinecone
Creamy peanut butter
Birdseed
String, fishing line, or twine
Butter knife
Paper plate
Cut a long length of string to hang the pine cone bird feeder.
Tie the string in a knot around the pine cone near the top, then tie a knot in the end of the string.
Using the butter knife, spread the peanut butter inside the pinecone and around the edges.
Sprinkle the birdseed (over a plate) on the pine cone so it sticks to the peanut butter.
Roll the pine cone in the birdseed that is on the plate.
Hang the bird feeder on the tree.
