Anybody know of an easy spider cosutme to make? My son changes his mind weekly but when he said spider (black widow to be specific!!!), I thought that I might be able to make him something! I was thinking of a black shirt, black pants, black nylons stuffed with black ???. I'd only need two extra legs on each side and I still need to think of something for his head...maybe a black touque??? I can see the vision in my head but I need some opinions and suggestions. I've never made his costume before and I think that it would be really neat. Also, what should I stuff under his black sweater to puff out his tummy (like a black widow)??? Really, any suggestions would be so appreciated!!!
you could use some old black
you could use some old black leggings or socks, and stuff them with cotton or paper, then attach them to the side seam of the shirt. Also, my 3 year old is being a spider this year, I found thier costume at a Home Sense store for 20 bucks. Just to let you know.
Here's a suggestion...
Hi Valenej,
I just added an easy to make spider costume to our Ideas.

It only involves a black hoodie, black pants and a few pipe-cleaners! Hopefully this works for you and your son ;-)
Maybe add a pillow underneath his hoodie, paint his face black, and add some fangs to make it more black widow like?
