Thanks Child Care Society!!

Today we had yet another amazing field trip to the McMillan Pumpkin Patch! What a fun time it was. We went for a nice tractor ride down into the field where we were up close and personal to the cows. The children all laughed and smiled being so close to those ginormous creatures. There were sheep to see and even a donkey. It was a wonderful event put on by the childcare society and what a treat for the caregivers, to be able to allow the children to paint and play in the playdough. Then at the end... there was NOTHING FOR ME TO CLEAN UP !!! I loved it about as much as the children did! The weather was beautiful, just jeans and a t-shirt was perfect. We sure are being spoiled by a beautiful October so far. I was there with my 6 daycare children and am lucky enough to have a very wonderful neighbour who loves to come and help on trips such as this. Now if I could just convince her to get her assistance status so she can sub for me ! Ha - good luck on that!
When you work at home alone it is great to get out to these events and see other cargivers and their children and feel like a part of a bigger group. People caring for others children. I was definately tired after the event and luckily so were the children. Giving me an opportunity to sit with a cup of coffee a write about another amazing day!
Anyone have any other suggestions of other great field trips to take the children on? Please let me know.
I hope your fall is going as well as mine is so far and thanks again Kelowna Child Care Society - you rock!

Thanks Child Care Society!!
