Allan Brooks Nature Centre

A very popular attraction for bird & outdoor enthusiasts.
Take a leisurely tour along the grasslands trail to learn more about the local wildlife and plant life and explore the wonders of the Discovery room with hands-on nature exhibits, and other fun and educational activities.

Take a virtual tour of the North Okanagan Valley, from one side to the other, in the Habitat Room. Experience the sounds and scents. See what is hidden underground or underwater. Look for the predator whose eyes follow your every move!

Learn about the Nature Centre's history as a weather station; the science of weather forecasting; and the impact of climate change on our water supply in our new Feature Exhibits.
Have a hands-on experience with nature in the Discovery Room.

The Nature Centre provides visitors a first-hand opportunity to see and learn about the North Okanagan’s unique and diverse natural heritage through views, information, programs and displays of the region’s natural areas. Three lakes and five ecosystems can be seen from this site and a total of nineteen points-of-interest provide spectacular, panoramic views of the North Okanagan and its diverse ecosystems.
